SEC/N Presents ``Lower Your Risk'' Seminar

GILBERT, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 30, 2005--SEC/N(R) (Surplus Equipment Consortium / Network, Inc), the trade association of leading companies involved in the secondary electronics equipment market, has announced an upcoming educational seminar entitled "Lower Your Risk."


This seminar, to be held Thursday, October 13, 2005 is intended to help anyone that either buys or sells capital equipment and/or services in the secondary (used) market. The seminar will be presented at the Hyatt Airport Hotel in San Jose, California between 8:30am - 4:00 pm and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshments.

The secondary market is the fastest growing segment of the semiconductor industry. This seminar will help both the end user and the equipment supplier identify and understand the risks that are involved in acquiring quality used equipment while staying in compliance with industry standards and the law.

Topics that will be covered include detecting misrepresented equipment, benefits of purchasing used equipment, finding lower prices, and familiarity with used products. This will be an open-forum event with questions and input encouraged in each session. Speakers will include: Tim Hayden, President and CEO of Rite Track and current president of SEC/N; Michael J. Ioannou, Partner, Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley; Michael Mihin, Worldwide Account Manager for Broadway Engineering Services Team, Inc. (BEST) and previously the Capital Equipment Procurement Manager for Motorola SPS., and Andy Higgins, Rite Track's Compliance Manager.
